My approach to working with individuals and families is one of compassion and transparency. I believe in creating a therapeutic environment that allows us to have conversations that bring in new meaning and understanding to difficulties. Through creating a warm and trusting relationship we make it possible to talk through things that
may have been unknown or hard to say, and find ways forward. I am a trained improvisor so I also bring a sense of playfulness and creativity to access expression.
I employ approaches from attachment therapy, dialogical therapy, solution focused therapy, narrative therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, emotion focused therapy and many more.
I currently work as a family therapist in the NHS in a Child and Adolescent Mental Health service where I work with clients with diverse presentations. It is common for me to work with families with mental difficulties (anxiety, depression, eating disorders), emotional difficulties (parent/child conflict, parental conflict, emotional dysregulation, low self-esteem, self- harm, suicidal ideation).
I am a registered psychotherapist with UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapists). I am also a registered social worker with HCPC (Health Care Professions Council). To remain registered to these professional bodies I am required to keep up to date with regular training and monitoring.
I see clients at the Circle Psychology Partners consulting rooms in East Dulwich.
Please kindly note that I only see self funding clients. I do not work with any private medical insurance providers.
