Headshot Neema Fauvrelle Counsellor

.I am a Counsellor with extensive experience in offering short and long-term therapy in South London. As a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and also the BAATN (Black and Asian Therapists Network), I have been working therapeutically for 10 years, helping individuals to explore and understand past experiences, relationships and difficult feelings. I work with childhood trauma, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, sexuality and many other presentations. I am committed to my clients’ emotional safety, growth and change. Therapy is a space to discover what has happened to you, rather than what is wrong with you. I will listen to your story, notice where you are stuck, and support you to find your own answers to move forward.

I work with an integrated approach; drawing mainly on psychodynamic and person-centred thinking. Receiving all my clients as individuals, adapting my practice to their needs. I listen without judgment, with an open heart and mind. Simply being authentically alongside someone and listening attentively can have a profound impact on a person’s emotional well-being and self-worth. This is a cornerstone of my work as a therapist. This, alongside an empathic, safe and confidential space for self-reflection. It also allows for the process of linking past and present experiences with historic emotional responses, particularly from childhood. This can result in noticeable shifts in present behaviour patterns and have a positive and lasting impact on mental health and self-care.

I work with couples to facilitate an exploration and progression of your relationship. Regardless of age, race, religious beliefs, gender identity, or sexual orientation. Common relationship issues I work with are: tensions resulting from differences (opinions, preferences, priorities and ways of being), feelings of resentment, anger and anxiety. Furthermore, I can work with mistrust, loss of connection, lack of intimacy, sexual dissatisfaction, infidelity, feeling unsafe and repeating arguments.

I see clients in my consulting rooms in East Dulwich – I am afraid I do not see clients funding sessions via private medical insurance.
