I am fully registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), a BPS Chartered Psychologist and a member of the Association for Contextual Behavioural Science. I originally trained as a CBT- Health psychologist and expanded my interest towards Contextual Behavioural Sciences and Third Generation Therapies. I hold a Master in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP) and Mindfulness (MBCBT), which has given me a high-level knowledge of the theory and practice of evidence-based and specialised psychological therapies.
My extensive clinical experience has allowed me to go in depth in the understanding of the broad set of conditions and daily life issues associated with mental health in different settings. I have worked with a wide variety of client group, across the whole life course and presenting problems that reflect the full range of everyday difficulties. Over the last years, I have had different professional experiences of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of adults and young adults clients across a full range of care settings, including the private sector and community and secondary care. Also, in the last years I have combined my work in the private practice and entrepreneurship with my work as an Undergraduate and Postgraduate University Associate Professor.
I have experience in psychological assessment and treatment of clients with a range of psychological needs of a complex nature, including perfectionism, anxiety and depression, personality disorders, dual diagnoses, obsessive-compulsive disorder, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, body images issues, long health conditions or pain management, amongst other issues.
I consider myself a flexible, passionate, warmth and experienced psychologist who is willing to help people find their way to a more meaningful, valued life. I embrace strong values that guide me through my work as a clinical psychologist and counsellor. Values such as respect, support, commitment to the client, kindness and curiosity constitute my guiding principles in life. I strongly believe in the development of approaches that may have a positive influence on people’s lives.
I also love writing and reflecting about therapy related issues as the therapeutic relationship in blogs. I am passionate about helping other colleagues to find out more about the best way to take care of themselves. I am an accredited BPS supervisor, working with other therapist has also been one of my main interests within the last few years.
I see clients in my consulting rooms in East Dulwich as well as online.
