Couples and Family Psychotherapist in East Dulwich, Southeast London, MSc, BA
Hayley Tuffin Family Therapist Headshot

I am a qualified systemic couples and family psychotherapist in Southeast London registered with the UKCP. I have over 25 years of working with families and couples in both the private and public sectors, mainly the NHS but also in Relate and the voluntary sector. I currently work in the NHS in an adult service offering couples and family therapy. Prior to that I worked in CAMHS working with children and teenagers with emotional and behavioural worries.

Couples come to see me when they have worries about anger, communication, infidelity and intimacy issues, when it seems difficult to work things out. With regards to families, I have worked with parents, sibling groups, children and adult children on a variety of issues. From worries about transitions, changes in family setups, and emotional and mental health issues.  I work with gender issues, eating problems, neurodiversity, physical health challenges, anxiety, low mood amongst other challenges.

In both couple and family work, it maybe underlying issues from the past such as grief and trauma which maybe impacting on the here and now, or sometimes it seems difficult to work out what is actually going on in families. I am trained systemically which means working with relationships but can work with individuals if you think it’s a family issue you want to explore or are interested in this way of working. I aim to offer a warm, empathic and safe space where we can work together towards change. I am also trained in mindfulness and EMDR and can bring this into our work if you so wish.

I see clients at Oru Space in East Dulwich, Southeast London and online.
