I am a BABCP-accredited CBT therapist, EMDR therapist (EMDR UK member), and BAMBA accredited Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) teacher based in South East London.
I am an integrative Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist specialising in trauma, anxiety and depression. I offer a compassionate and collaborative therapeutic space where you can explore difficult experiences, process the impact of trauma, and work towards
meaningful and lasting change.
Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, and finding the right therapist is important. I aim to create a therapeutic environment where you feel heard, understood and supported. My approach is warm, thoughtful and responsive, and I work at a pace that feels manageable for you.
How I Work:
I take a collaborative and person-centred approach to therapy, drawing on a range of evidence-based approaches depending on your needs, experiences and goals. Alongside CBT and EMDR, I incorporate mindfulness-based approaches in my work. As an MBCT teacher, I have facilitated mindfulness-based groups for people experiencing depression and sometimes integrate mindfulness practices into individual therapy where this feels helpful.
I have also completed additional training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Schema Therapy, and the integrated Internal Family Systems (IFS) and EMDR model. These approaches can help us understand long-standing emotional patterns, work with different “parts” of the self, and process difficult or traumatic experiences in a safe and supported way.
My work is trauma-informed and grounded in an understanding of the psychological, social and environmental factors that shape our wellbeing.
Who I work with:
I often work with people who feel stuck in long-standing emotional patterns or who
are experiencing the lasting effects of difficult or overwhelming life experiences.
You may be someone who:
• has experienced trauma and finds that the past continues to affect the present
• struggles with anxiety, intrusive thoughts or a constant sense of worry
• feels highly self-critical or finds it difficult to be compassionate towards yourself
• notices recurring patterns in relationships or emotional reactions
• feels overwhelmed, burnt out or disconnected from yourself
• is looking for a deeper understanding of how past experiences may be shaping current difficulties
Therapy can offer a space to slow down, make sense of your experiences and begin
to move towards greater stability, self-understanding and wellbeing.
Experience and Areas of Support:
I have extensive experience working in the NHS and third sector organisations with adolescents and adults from diverse backgrounds.
I often work with people who are experiencing:
• Trauma and post-traumatic stress
• Anxiety (including GAD, OCD, phobias, panic disorder and health anxiety)
• Depression and low mood
• Low self-esteem and self-criticism
• Stress and burnout
• Difficult life transitions
I also work with neurodivergent clients, including people with autism and ADHD, and have significant experience supporting individuals during the perinatal and postnatal period.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step. If you would like to discuss whether working together might feel right for you, you are very welcome to get in touch.
Supervision:
I can offer one-one and group supervision to CBT therapists.
Practical Information:
Please note that I work with self-funding clients only and do not accept private
medical insurance.
I see clients at the Circle Psychology Partners consulting rooms in East Dulwich and online.
