Yes. The majority of our therapists offer evening and weekend appointments.

If you would like to book a first appointment please contact Circle Psychology Partners on 02089355068 or  info@circlepsychologypartners.co.uk. We aim to respond to messages within 24 hours. A member of our helpful and friendly team will ask you some initial questions about what you would like help with and which location or locations you or your child could come to. They will also find out which of our psychologists will be most appropriate for you or your child to see and when they are available.

Once you have decided who you would like to see you will either be offered an appointment or be contacted by your therapist to arrange a suitable day and time for your appointment. Ideally this will be within a day or two. This is a great opportunity to ask any questions or address concerns that you may have. We understand that it is not always easy to get to the point of making the decision to contact someone for help. Our team is there to help you through the process of finding the right person to speak to.

When initial appointments are offered an invoice will be sent to you by E-mail. Full payment is required by BACS or online payment link within 24 hours of booking in order to confirm the appointment. If the payment has not been received within this time frame the slot will be offered to other clients. Sessions cancelled with less than 5 working days’ notice will be subject to a £50 fee and sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours will not be refunded. Payment for ongoing therapy sessions is due on the day of the appointment by BACS or online payment link.

Yes, we the majority of our therapists are registered with most private medical insurances, except BUPA. If you intend to use private healthcare insurance and your insurance policy does not cover the full cost of each session, you will be responsible for the payment of any fees not covered by your policy. For example, many policies have an excess and insurance companies require the excess to be paid directly to Circle Psychology Partners Ltd to cover part of the fee. Please check this with your insurance company.  Circle Psychology Partners Ltd will also inform you of any unsettled fees. You will also be liable for the cost of late cancellations and non-attendance as this is not covered by insurance policies

If you are under the care of an NHS mental health team or a psychiatrist then we require your consent to have a conversation with your team/psychiatrist before we can offer any sessions. This ensures that the therapy we provide is in line with the treatment approach that your team is following or recommending. Unfortunately we are unable to offer sessions without prior contact with your NHS service.

We aim to offer you an initial appointment within a week, but at busy times it can take longer. If you are only available on specific days and at certain times the waiting times for a suitable appointment can also be longer.

The first session is a chance for you and the therapist to see how you will work together. Our therapists know that meeting for the first time can be anxiety provoking and they are experienced with helping people manage these feelings. During this first session your therapist will seek to gain a deeper understanding of your current difficulties and your hopes for therapy sessions. It is also an opportunity for you to get a feel for how your therapist works and to see if you feel comfortable talking to him/her. At the end of your first session, your therapist will make some recommendations. Please note that attending an initial assessment does not commit you to ongoing therapy sessions.

One of the advantages of accessing private therapy is that duration is based solely on your needs and not dictated by external factors such as organisational restrictions. The aim of therapy is to transfer knowledge and skills and eventually to make the therapist redundant. Our therapists offer both short term therapy (from 6 to 20 sessions) as well as open-ended therapy. They work in blocks of 6 sessions which allows your therapist and you the ability to review progress on a regular basis

There is extensive research evidence about the effectiveness of therapy for a wide variety of difficulties. Our therapists deliver evidence based psychological treatments and consider the NICE guidelines when making recommendations for the approach they will use and the possible length of treatment.

Clients are advised that in booking an appointment they are reserving time exclusively for their assessment or treatment. For a cancellation, as much notice as possible is greatly appreciated. In the case of cancellation of scheduled appointments a full consultation fee will be payable unless a minimum of 48 hours’ notice is given. This also applies to cases of unforeseen events (such as illness or childcare difficulties) as all consultations are pre-arranged and it is unlikely that a slot can be filled without sufficient notice. In the case of cancellation of an assessment with less than 5 working days but more than 48 hours’ notice, a £50 fee will be deducted from any refund.  Health insurance clients are liable for the cost of late cancellations and non-attendance as this is not covered by insurance policies. Your treating clinician will provide you with as much notice as possible if she/he needs to cancel/reschedule one of your appointments.

All sessions are 50 minutes.

If you arrive late for your session the session will still end at the same time.

Requests for reports or any other form of correspondence other than routine feedback to the referrer or insurance company are chargeable

Clients have the right to terminate therapy at any stage during their treatment.

All information discussed within treatment will be treated as confidential, but for ethical and professional reasons Circle Psychology Partners Ltd asks for your GP details as part of the practice registration process. The only instances when your or your child’s treating clinician would extend the limits of confidentiality are if she/he became seriously concerned about harm coming to you, your child or others around you and your child, if you or your child were involved in serious crime, or if your or your child’s records were requested by a court. In these cases your treating clinician would endeavour to first discuss this with you.

All of our clinicians also receive regular supervision to ensure a high standard of professional practice and clients are presented anonymously. Supervisors are also bound by codes of confidentiality and ethical practice of their professional organisations. All recorded client information will be held securely and Circle Psychology Partners Ltd will ensure the utmost confidentiality in the treatment of any such information. Circle Psychology Partners Ltd abide by the boundaries of confidentiality as outlined within the Code of Ethics of the British Psychological Society and the Data Protection Act 1998. Any disclosure to third parties of client information will only occur with the prior informed consent of the client.

Treatment is limited to pre-arranged times only. If for any reason out-of-hours appointments are required this needs to be agreed in advance. There will be times that your treating clinician will not be available for consultation and clients who need urgent clinical input and/or support are advised to contact their GP Surgery, Out of Hours Service or present to Accident and Emergency. You can also talk to the Samaritans 24 hours a day on 08457 90 90 90.

It is not uncommon for people to sometimes struggle with difficult thoughts and feelings in therapy. Clients are encouraged to give their therapist regular feedback about anything that concerns them or that they are unsure about
