I am a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years of experience in the NHS. I currently work in the NHS as a Senior Clinical Psychologist in forensic mental health services working with adults experiencing complex and enduring mental health and personality difficulties.
I am experienced in working with a wide range of psychological difficulties such as enduring personality issues, trauma, low self-esteem, substance misuse, depression, anxiety, dissociative experiences and relationship difficulties. I work collaboratively with clients to help them gain awareness and insight into their difficulties. By gaining insight, developing new skills and ways of relating, the client will over time become their own psychologist. I aim to work alongside clients to help them live more emotionally authentic and fulfilling lives.
I am an integrative practitioner, drawing on attachment theory and a broad range of therapeutic models, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and specialising in Schema Therapy. I ensure that I provide a tailor-made approach for each client, and I also have a particular interest in using the therapeutic relationship as a vehicle for change.
Consultation, Supervision and Training
In my NHS job I offer consultation and training to staff teams working in highly pressurised environments and supervise trainee and qualified psychologists.
I see clients at my consulting rooms in East Dulwich.
