I am Dr Sarah Carr, a London based Clinical Psychologist with over seven years’ experience of working clinically within the NHS. Alongside my work in private practise I continue to support young people within the NHS . In my role in the NHS I also supervise qualified clinicians and trainee clinical psychologists as well as contributing to teaching on a number of IoPPN courses, including the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.
I believe that mental wellbeing needs to be nurtured and that psychology should be accessible to all. I understand that it can feel daunting to ask for help when we are struggling, however, I value being able to provide a space that feels validating and containing to support my clients to achieve their goals and feel listened to. I have experience therapeutically with a range of mental health difficulties across the lifespan. I work in a way that is compassionate and tailored to the needs of my clients. I work with adolescents and adults offering evidenced-based therapies. I specialise in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) and Narrative Therapy.
I was awarded my MSc in Cognitive and Clinical Neuroscience at Goldsmiths, University of London and my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at UCL. I am fully registered with the Health Care Professional Council.
I see clients in my consulting rooms in East Dulwich.
