I am a consultant clinical psychologist. I completed my psychology degree at Oxford University and my clinical training and doctorate at UCL. I have 25 years experience of working with children and families with a wide range of psychological difficulties in both mental health and physical health services across community CAMHS and hospital settings. Therapeutically, I draw upon the current evidence base and work collaboratively with children and families to deliver personalised treatment plans for managing difficulties such as anxiety, low mood and challenging behaviour. Equally importantly, I work to develop the child or young person’s resilience and self-esteem.
My skills include further training in systemic/family therapy and third wave CBT approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I also offer parenting interventions to build parents’ strategies for supporting and overcoming their child’s difficulties. I am experienced in carrying out cognitive assessments to draw up an individualised profile of strengths and weaknesses including recommendations of ways to support a child to learn effectively. I have particular expertise in working with children and families with physical illness or disability, having worked at Great Ormond Street Hospital for 15 years. I am registered with the HCPC as a Clinical Psychologist and am also a member of the British Psychological Society and the Faculty for Children and Young People.
Also now providing Cognitive Assessments.
My consulting rooms are in Dulwich Village.
