I’m an HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist in East Dulwich with extensive NHS experience working with adults across eating disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression and neurodevelopmental services. I’ve had the privilege of working alongside people navigating some of life’s most painful and complex challenges at Great Ormond Street Hospital, NHS Lothian and NHS Oxleas, and that work has shaped both who I am as a clinician and how deeply I believe in people’s capacity to recover.
My approach is evidence-based, warm and direct. I hold a genuine belief that recovery is possible, and I am committed to walking that journey alongside you at a pace that works for you.
Away from the therapy room, I love to travel and find real richness in learning from different cultures and perspectives. I spent over a year living and working in Singapore, an experience that has genuinely broadened how I understand people and the contexts that shape us. I stay connected to cutting-edge research and enjoy learning from clinicians and researchers at the forefront of our field. I also care deeply about looking after myself. Time in nature and with my cat keeps me grounded, and I know that my own wellbeing is what allows me to be genuinely present for the people I work with.
MY APPROACH
My work is rooted in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), one of the most well-researched and effective approaches in clinical psychology. I’ve trained intensively in specialist CBT for eating disorders with Glenn Waller, and in Family-Based Treatment for Anorexia Nervosa with Kerri Boutelle at the James Lock Training Institute.
Evidence-based, warm and direct. I bring some research and you bring your experience. Together, we explore a route for recovery.
Rather than following a rigid script, I see you as the expert on your own life. My role is to bring knowledge and ideas, and together we figure out what actually fits for you. It’s always a collaboration.
WHAT TO EXPECT IN OUR SESSIONS
Starting therapy can feel daunting, so here’s a sense of how we might work together.
1. Getting to know each other
We start by making space for your story. What are you struggling with, and what you would most like to change? There’s no rush and no wrong answers.
2. Exploring possibilities together
I’ll share some ideas about how we might work toward your goals, and together we figure out whether those ideas feel right for you. You are always in the driving seat.
3. Making space for what comes up
Throughout our work, we hold room for your thoughts and feelings, including the difficult ones. Trust builds gradually and we grow it together through commitment to your recovery.
4. Checking in along the way
We review regularly. Where are we? What’s working? Where do we want to go next? This keeps our work meaningful and responsive to you.
