Headshot of Dr Keren Yeboah

My name is Dr Keren Yeboah. I am a Clinical Psychologist with over ten years of experience supporting people with mental health difficulties as well as other forms of distress that can occur in the context of challenging life experiences. Much of my practice has involved working within the NHS and other public sector organisations.

I work with adults and adolescents with an existing mental health diagnosis as well as those without one. I create a safe, non-judgemental space for my clients to talk about their thoughts, identity and experiences as well as their relationship with themselves and with others.

Perhaps you want to talk about past experiences, or to overcome the mental and emotional barriers that impact your life? Perhaps you wish to understand how you can develop healthier relationships with others or perhaps you have been given a mental health diagnosis and are looking for specialist support?

I help people who may wish to overcome a particular issue, or to manage stressful life changes/transitions. I also work with people who would like a space to figure out what their needs are. Moreover, I can support those who want to talk about the impact of societal pressures, culture, displacement, loss, trauma or separation on their lives and families, particularly where this might be contributing to a mental health diagnosis.

I have worked with people who have had a range of difficulties including: Anxiety; Panic Attacks; Worry; Somatic Complaints; Depression and/ or other issues with Mood; Low Self Esteem; interpersonal difficulties, Hearing voices, Complex Trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Additionally, I offer evidence-based and research supported psychological assessments and interventions. I use these tools to help people connect with themselves and their strengths, while introducing strategies and guided programmes where this might be needed.

As an integrative Clinical Psychologist, I take a holistic view of wellbeing, which includes working with the mind-body link. I have had training in and have experience of delivering therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic psychotherapy, Mentalisation Based Therapy (MBT), Narrative Therapy, Brief Solution Focussed Therapy, Compassion Focussed Therapy, Family Therapy, Parenting Interventions and Sensorimotor psychotherapy.

I am registered with the Health Professions Council (HCPC) as a practitioner psychologist. Additionally I practice in accordance with the standards of the HCPC and the BPS and I am committed to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and training. Furthermore, I have experience of supervision, consultation and management within the public sector and I regularly teach on Post-graduate University Programmes.
