I am Dr Gazal Jones, Clinical Psychologist. I was awarded my MSc in Mental Health Studies at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IoPPN), King’s College London and my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Royal Holloway, University of London. I am fully registered with the Health Care Professional Council.
I have over seven years’ experience of working therapeutically with children, young people, adults and families within the NHS. I have worked in adult mental health, learning disability and neurodisability clinics, eating disorder clinics and Child and Adolescent Mental Health services (CAMHS). I also regularly teach on the UCL, IoPPN and Royal Holloway MSc and Doctoral Psychology courses, and train NHS professionals in working with mental health difficulties.
I believe we all need to nurture our mental health. I know it can be difficult to ask for help when we are struggling but over the years as a psychologist, I have truly come to appreciate that asking for help is a sign strength and not a weakness. My main aim is to support my clients in using this strength to achieve their goals and overcome difficulties.
I specialise in offering evidence-based assessment and therapies tailored to my client’s individual needs. I am experienced in providing a range of therapies such as CBT, Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and family-based therapy for a range of mental health conditions. I am also fluent in Urdu, Hindi and Swedish and can offer therapy in these languages as well.
I provide therapy in my consulting rooms in Peckham.
