I am a Clinical Psychologist with 10 years’ experience working in the NHS. During this time I have worked with clients across the lifespan experiencing a wide range of difficulties. I have a particular interest in the emotional difficulties associated with conception, pregnancy and parenting. For the past 5 years I have worked in specialist perinatal services in the NHS.
The journey to becoming a parent can be a time of many transitions and challenges. I support clients with a range of difficulties associated with this time including adjustment, anxiety, low mood, trauma, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and loss. I am also interested in relationships between parents and their babies/toddlers and supporting these relationships to thrive. I am passionate about supporting the whole family, having conducted research with fathers and developed national guidance for involving partners and families in perinatal services.
I am trained to use a range of evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT). I have additional training in tools to support the parent-child relationship, including Video Interaction Guidance (VIG). I work flexibly and together with clients to understand their needs, strengths, and goals. I offer a warm, non-judgemental, and compassionate space to explore and work through these.
I am registered with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC). I see clients in my consulting rooms in East Dulwich and online.
