What it might be like to meet me?

I understand that accessing therapy might feel nerve wracking or overwhelming. Hopefully explaining a little bit about the way I work might help you think about if I’ll be a good match for you. I aim to foster a friendly, warm and nonjudgmental relationship within which change can happen, leaving you feeling more satisfied and fulfilled with life. Depending on your goals we can utilise a more structured approach or offer more of an exploratory stance.

My background & approach

I have over ten years experience within the field of mental health, working with people at various stages of life, from children, to adults, becoming parents and through to older adults. I am particularly experienced in working with adults struggling with stress, low mood and anxiety. I have experience working with clients with neurodivergence such as ADHD and autism.

I work in an NHS Early Years Team for the majority of the week, supporting both parents and their children, under the age of five. I am passionate about working with mothers and fathers at this crucial period of time in their lives, recognising that it can be both exciting but also overwhelming and challenging. I make space to think about this transition to parenthood, support parents in managing their own mental health as well as think about possible impact of their own childhood on parenting. I am also experienced in working with young children with difficulties in early childhood including sleeping, feeding, separation and behavioral difficulties.

I take an integrative approach to work using a range of models including attachment and trauma informed models, as well as EMDR, CBT and compassion focused therapy. I draw from all of these different theories to make sense of people’s unique needs and individual circumstances.

I see clients in the Circle Psychology Partners consulting rooms in East Dulwich and online.
