I am Counselling Psychologist and accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with over 15 years of clinical experience. Moreover, I have worked in primary and secondary care psychology services with clients with a viriety of issues. These include, depression, relational and emotion regulation difficulties. In addition, I have helped clients with a range of anxiety disorders. For example, I have worked with those suffering with OCD, PTSD, Panic, Social Anxiety, Habit Disorders (such as hair pulling), Health Anxiety and General Anxiety Disorder.
My current NHS role is in a specialist trauma service where I work with clients, including refugees, with complex PTSD. Such clients have experienced multiple traumas including childhood neglect and abuse.
As a counselling psychologist, I have trained in a number of therapeutic models including CBT, EMDR, Mindfulness and psychodynamic approaches. This means that I am able to adapt therapy to meet individual clients’ needs by integrating different models and therapeutic techniques.
I work in a collaborative way which prioritises the therapeutic relationship and aim to offer a safe and supportive space within which a client and I may develop a shared understanding of their current difficulties and work together towards therapy goals. Furthermore, I offer supervision to qualified and trainee psychologists and CBT therapists.
I see clients in my consulting rooms in East Dulwich.
