I am an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist in Southeast London, specialising in the treatment of trauma in the context of many different mental health difficulties. I work with adults and adolescents experiencing many different emotional and psychological difficulties and in the NHS I work within a specialist service supporting people affected by PTSD, complex trauma and longstanding difficulties in how they feel about themselves, relate to others and cope with distress.

My aim is to offer a safe, supportive space which helps people explore and better understand what they are experiencing, so we can think creatively together about the possible ways forward. Some people come to therapy with a clear sense of a particular problem and what they’d like help with, whilst others feel overwhelmed, stuck in familiar patterns, unlike themselves, or simply aware that something in their relationships, work or everyday life is not working as they would like. I take the time needed to understand each person’s situation and what matters to them so we can create a plan for treatment that’s tailored specifically to them, rather than assuming that one approach suits everyone.

The way I work is integrative. Drawing particularly on psychodynamic and attachment theory I help people understand the patterns shaping how they feel, relate and cope, while also using practical strategies from cognitive behavioural therapies to support change. Therapy can therefore involve being reflective and making sense of what is happening, as well as learning new skills and trying new ways of being and doing that support long lasting change.

I have experience supporting people with anxiety, panic, OCD, depression and low mood, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, anger, work-related stress and burnout, grief, trauma and significant life changes, as well as PTSD, complex trauma, and difficulties related to shame, emotional regulation, trust, and longstanding ways of coping.

My training and experience include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), psychodynamic and attachment-informed approaches, EMDR, narrative exposure therapy, trauma-focussed CBT and systemic therapy.

I see clients in the Circle Psychology Partners consulting rooms on Zenoria Street in East Dulwich.
