As a HCPC registered counselling psychologist, I have trained in a number of therapeutic models including CBT, DBT and psychodynamic approaches. This means that I am able to adapt therapy to meet individual clients’ needs by integrating different models and therapeutic techniques. Having trained as an integrative counsellor while working with children and adolescents I use creative ways of working, including play therapy.

As well as working in private practice, I am the lead counselling psychologist in community project led by local GP and CAMHS. My clinical work is focused on providing CBT informed therapy to young people aged 13 to 18. I also provide assessments and supervise clinical work of my colleagues. Prior to my CAMHS work, I have experience working in primary and secondary schools, where I used to work with children age 5 to 17, as well as supporting parents.

I take a whole systems approach and understanding the difficulties being presented in he context that a child or young person is in: for example their family, their school, their work, their social circle. My aim is to work with my client(s) to get to a shared formulation (understanding or story of the problem) and creating ways of working individually (with child or young person) or including parents/ carers and school if needed.

I have worked with children and young people at schools, CAMHS and private practice who have had a range of difficulties including: Anxiety; Panic Attacks; Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD); Worries; Bereavement; Depression; Low Mood; Low Self Esteem; Identity Crisis, Transition Difficulties, Attachment-based difficulties; Self-harm and Suicidal Ideations.

I am offering sessions for children, adolescents and parents face-to-face in my consulting rooms in Camberwell (Champion Hill), Southeast London.
