I’m a London based Psychodynamic Child Psychotherapist specialising in anxiety and relationships. I’ve worked with children, adolescents and families within the NHS since 2015. My aim is always to help children and parents better understand themselves and their difficulties and to strengthen family relationships. My training includes Systemic (Family) Therapy, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). The different types of psychological treatment can be somewhat of a minefield. However, in practical terms it means I do not stick rigidly to one way of working and can adapt to best suit the family I’m working with.
I work as a child psychotherapist with anxiety in Southeast London. I work with children as young as 1, up to young adults of 25, and usually work with the parents too, which may even be the most important element. That might be sessions together or individually or a mixture. My work is upfront and authentic; my first priority is that everyone feels at ease within our sessions.
My sessions are adapted to the needs of children, adolescents and young people. Consequently, with younger children, I focus on the child’s internal world, their experiences so far and their relationships. This helps to get beneath the surface of difficult emotions and behaviour. The child may talk, play or draw. This allows me to explore the meaning of what the child brings to the sessions, whatever that may be.
I specifically have experience of working with a wide range of difficulties including anxiety and panic attacks, low mood and low self-esteem, anger and behavioural problems at home or school, relationship difficulties with friends or family, nightmares and sleep difficulties, self-harm or suicidal thoughts, PTSD and trauma.

I see clients at Oru Space in East Dulwich.

Please kindly note that I only see self funding clients. I do not work with any private medical insurance providers.
